Thumbs up Conservation Education in Schools

I thought it was pretty cool that this school was placing emphasis on educating kids about conservation. Here is a scan of the first page of the school bulletin, featuring student writing about conservation. See attached.

Are a lot of schools doing this now?

Seems that attachment is too tiny to read. Sorry about that...

Essay titles include "How to Conserve in Our Homes" and "Ways to Conserve Electricity." Tips are really cute, including things that kids ought to do (and have a habit of not doing) like turning off the lights in a room before they leave and deciding what you want before you open the refrigerator. Also included: turning off the TV before you fall asleep, turning off computers, use both sides of a paper instead of just the front, turn off water while brushing, don't wash clothes/ dishes until there's a full load.
