    Default Wife wants a window

We are remodeling an adobe and cinderblock house built in the late 1800's.
In the cinderblock section is an opening to what used to be a coal bin. (see attachment)
This area on the inside has now been removed and I plan to do some extensive renovations.
My wife has decided she now wants a window where the coal bin door was.
As mentioned the wall is cinderblock and I plan to put a 2x4 wall next to that and insulate it. (There is no way to keep this place warm)
I have suggested putting in glass bricks, but she wants to see out of it.
Does anyone have any ideas how for some sort of a window. The room is going to be used for storage.
    Thanks for any ideas.
