    Question Detached Garage Issue

I have a small detached garage that was built adjacent to my house about 4 feet away on two corners. The problem is the gutters on the garage and the house are separated by about 1 to 1 1/2 feet. When it rains water is getting on the concrete between the house and building and sitting. From this I have two questions

    1. What can I use to seal the bottom of the garage to prevent the wood from rotting from the water build up that will look good and do the job?

    2. I thought about getting some sheet metal and bending it so that it fits between the gutters and prevents future water buildup, do you recommend anything else? Also you will see in the pictures below that the back of the building comes to a peek and prevents this option for connecting the gutters, however I thought about applying the same principal just a bigger sheet of metal to connect to the gutter to allow for runoff into it. What do you think?
