    Default Question: fridge and microwave

Quick question, and I think I know the answer. Is it a bad idea to plug the refrigerator and microwave into the same outlet?
Bad idea to run a microwave on an extension cord?
    Thanks.

You would need to ensure the extension cord is the correct gauge of wire---- however ----extension cords are only intended for temporary use.

Exactly what I thought. I have someone who disagrees with me, and I am trying to argue my point. They say that that it doesn't matter because the whole kitchen is on the same breaker. I say that it's dangerous to draw so much current from one outlet, regardless of what breaker it's connected to.
