    Default Insulating an Attic

In my attic there is a blown in insulation between the ceiling joists which is somewhat packed due to the years of being there.
I'm planning on adding faced fiberglass batts of an insulation.

Should I remove blown in insulation , or is it OK to lay the batts with vapor barries across the ceiling joists without removing it ??
    Please help

do not remove any consider instead the easy method-simply rent a blower an add more Most anywhere you can buy insulation you can borrow or rent a blower.
