    Thumbs up Foam Insulation

We are in the middle of remodeling my 1 year old son's room. A friend of mine recommeded using Great Stuff Foam around his windows and door way. Is this stuff safe? I am concerned about using chemicals around my child. I just wanted to get some feedback.

The manufacturers has come a long way with these products.

If your concerned about off gassing from Urea Formaldehyde, CFC or HCFC's these manufacturers have more or less abandoned that having moved towards more safer products like polyurethane based materials in which water is incorporated as the sole blowing agent. Just check the label on the cans.

There is more likely common items in the home than contain formaldehyde such as furniture and building materials , etc.. Check this link : http://www.epa.gov/iaq/formalde.html

    Cheers.
