    Default Electric Ignition Won't Start

    Greetings All,

I have a Lennox electric ignition furnace. When I turn up the thermostat I hear the furnace start (it even starts gas flow) but nothing lights.

It has a box where all the wires are attached to.

    Here are the markings:

    Robert Shaw Controls Company
    Model No SP735L-- Lennox P/N 18G9101

Is there a blown fuse inside this box?

Does this problem have anything to do with the box?

    Thanks for the help.

Don’t know but can tell you this:

In my last house the igniter burned out four times and in my present home it has burned out once.

My present furnace has a flashing light diagnostic code that helped figure it out but, I figured that’s what the problem was.

Now I keep a spare on hand and it’s a few minute change out.
