Installing Wood Stove Piping through Roof
Hi, I just bought a used Jotul wood stove. I have the Class A piping for it as well. I have been quoted for the installation in my one level home and the prices are insane, so I want to give it a go myself. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have already built my brick hearth myself, but I am a little nervous about cutting a hole in my ceiling and roof without getting some advice or instruction first.
I know I need to basically sawz-all a hole in my ceiling and roof, but I need advice on how to insulate the piping through the ceiling/roof and also how to properly ensure that the chimney flashing is sealed off from the elements.
Basically, any help or advice with this is welcomed. Thank you very much!
