Default Using Storm Windows with Vinyl replacement windows

Hi, We are replacing the old single pane wndows in the house with new Low-E vinyl replacements. With the tax credit it's a good time to finally do that project.

My question is whether you can use storm windows with Vinyl replacement windows or not. I thought I heard at one time it was not a good idea, as the heat captured between the two might cause the vinyl to warp and possibly result in seal failure.

    Any thoughts?

Did you check with the manufacturer? What did they recommend? I am having the same dilema with using storm windows with my new replacement windows.
