I have a house from the early 1930's but I'm not sure if this is the original fixture or not. The drain on my double slop sink was backed up and in the process of cleaning the trap broke. I have attached images of the strainer, the drain below the sink and the ring and adapter used to connect the old drain.
I was thinking that I could replace the strainers and drain with PVC but I'm not sure about the best way to remove the old ones. I was thinking about cutting the drain which hopefully should release the strainers. Unless there is a tool available to remove the strainers as there is no nut under the sink connecting the strainer to the drain as found on newer sinks.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
