    Greetings:

I just sent this request to ATOH and thought I might also get a response in this forum.

Question:'Ask This Old House' Episode ATH-523

    Full Description:
    Greetings:

I was just watching an episode of 'Ask This Old House' (airtime 21-Sep-2009 7:30-8:00 pm DIY Channel Episode ATH-523).
    http://www.diynetwork.com/ask-this-o...ass/index.html

Roger Cook described a product but I only heard its name which sounded like Tupacent <sp?>. Apparently this product can be used in the spring to inhibit crabgrass but it doesn't affect grass seed germination? I can't seem to find anymore info on it. Can you confirm the spelling of this product and/or provide more information?

    Great show BTW!

    Thanks in advance,
    Dave

I did not see the episode you are talking about but it sounds like it may have been Tupersan. Tupersan is a preemergent that can be used at the seedling stage. It has been a while since I have used it but I seem to recall that it will can also be used to partially control Bermuda grass too... so check the label to make sure it will work with you species of turf.

    hope that helps.
