    Default old, uninstalled drywall

Ahoy Renovators- Does anyone know of a reason that old (10+ yrs. old)never installed, stored out of direct sunlight standing vertically along a long edge in a dry basement should not be used? Is there anything about the paper coating or the gypsum itself that would give me trouble when installing or painting it?
I've got about 15 sheets I hate to throw away and a project that needs doing.
    Thanks- Boyd

It may be a little brittle, but other than that you should be able to use it.
