Default Hard to reach dry rot in door frame

I have french doors onto my deck. These have one side that opens, the other is fixed. Dry rot has developed at the bottom of the center post on the side where hte fixed door is. It soesn't appear to go all the way through to the inside. I can't really get to this with a circular saw, jig saw or router. What's the best approach for removing the rotted section repairing? Can this been done without having to remove or dismantle the door?

You can cut out the bad section with an oscillating saw like the Dremel or Fien and install a patch or dig out the rotted wood with a chisel or knife and repair with flexible epoxy. If you are not familiar with the oscillating saws you can see a video of the Dremel here http://www.dremel.com/en-us/projects...eo.aspx?vid=50
