Default Need joist hangers for old house

I need joist hangers for my first story floor joists, to be installed in the basement. The joists in my house, built in 1850, are between 2" and 2.75" wide. The only joist hangers I'm seeing sold are built to accomodate a modern 2-by board and are too narrow. I can purchase those made for two 2-by boards, but that leaves +/- 1/2" on each side of the joist. Is this OK, or are there any manufacturers that offer a 3" wide joist hanger? thanks, david

Try Simpson - www.strongtie.com they have nearly every hanger to meet what you may need.
