    Default Cold water shower faucet

The cold water faucet in my shower turns really hard. Is there anyway to fix this without replacing the whole assembly. It is a Kohler.

That is probably caused by mineral build up, at least it was on mine. Remove the stem, clean, coat with Vaseline, and re-install.

On mine the set screw for the knob is a Torx screw so you'll need a Torx wrench to fit. It's like an Allen wrench only star shaped instead of hexagon. You can get them at any hardware store. Then remove the nut and turn out the stem. Be sure to turn the water off first .
