Default Casement window won't close fully.

I am purchasing a house built in 1918. There is a window in one of the closets that won't close all of the way. It is a casement window. I am planning on replacing it down the road, but is there a way to get it to close for now?

Push it closed from the outside and screw it closed if need be.

I don't know where you live, but mine do that too sometimes. The humidity makes the wood swell.

First. see if there is paint & such built up around the window. Sand it nice & smooth.

Which ever part is "off", take a heavy rag & put it on that part of the frame & tap it a couple times "lightly" but firm...dead-on, & try closing.

The answer isn't to replace. Restore is the way to go!
