    Default Shower Pan

I am getting ready to install a new shower and tile it. What is best for the base? Hot-mop,liner, or hydro-ban? I am located in California. It is a downstairs bathroom with a cement sub-floor.

unless you define "best " you'll get only opinions.

Laticrete Hydroban is the bes product that I have found to use. Your gaps between the 2 surfaces of the cement board shouldn't be any bigger then 1/8 to 3/16 or an inch. The hydroban is brushed or rolled on in 2 applications. No mesh is needed. This stuff is awsome! If I recall THO even used it in shower of the master bath at the Weston House.
