    Cool Cracked floor tile

I'm working in a store where I have to replace cracked floor tile. The reason the tiles are cracking is the two pieces of plywood that were installed keep shifting when the tiles that are on top of the separation are walked on. I'm a carpenter and would like to know if it is possible to glue a 12 inch strip of sheet metal down the separation and then lay the tiles on top of that. I haven't tried this yet and would like to know if it would work - in theory.

Fixing the plywood would be my choice. Adding the sheet metal (fix) wont last long, expansion and contraction with temp changes will allow for movement.
