    Default Door threshold

We had to replace several beams under the house and had to remove the front stoop. The old beams where notched for the threshold. How do I replace the threshold, without notching the beams????

I believe it's one of Newton's Laws that states that 2 objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time.

Either notch the beams or notch the threshold.

Without a picture or better description, I doubt if anyone can help. What's the problem with notching a beam a little for the threshold?

You might be able to raise the header, and the door opening. Pictures would help.
