    Question light fixture globes

I have old light fixtures mounted on the wall over my fireplace. I would like to keep the original fixture but change for a more contemporary globe. Places like Lowes, Home Depot and even a specialty lighting store do not carry the size I need. The base of the globe that fits into the fixture is 1 7/8". Any suggestions of where I might find a globe to fit?

If a Lighting Store had no suggestions, then they have no idea of "glass blowers".

Have you been to Murano? next to Venice, a little expensive.

    CiCi,
Ask at a couple of local antique shops and ask if they can point you to a store that carries reproduction chimneys, globes and shades. There is usually a lamp shop some where close and they generally know where. You might also try http://rensup.com/

    Jack,
Thanks so much. I'll try and lamp store but already made some progress through the website you suggested. Much appreciated!
