I always seem to have trouble edging my lawn. I have an electric weed whacker and the cord always seems to break off before I complete the job, usually several times. Is there any suggestions as to how I can prevent this. It gets very frustrating removing the spool to reset the cord
Re: Weed wackers
Have you tried using a better quality line? The star shaped line cuts better and lasts a little longer than the thin round stuff. Also, the line likes being between 3" and 5" longer than the hub it's attached to, that is, 3" to 5" sticking out, any more than that and the whacker doesn't really spin it fast enough, nor does the line have the ability to cut as well as when it's shorter.
