    Default Bathroom light fixture installation

Is there a minimum distance standard or requirement from the bathroom ceiling to the light recepticle box ? Want to take into consideration heat/fire hazards. Ceilings are 7'6". Thanks

It's common to place them around 7 1/2 to 8 inches from the ceiling to the center of the box. Depending on type of fixture ... example down light fixture you can go up slightly and up light fixture can go down somewhat. Of course mirrors or medicine cabinets will have some bearing of placement.

Our mirror placement was pushing the fixture within three inches of the ceiling. We have decided to cut the large mirror in half with placement over each sink and light fixtures in the middle and one on each side. Thanks for the info.
