    Default Smelly Bathroom

    We have a master bathroom that has just been remodeled. Before the remodel no smells, after we tiled the bathroom we noticed a musty, gassy kind of smell. Plumber has checked everything and says everything is ok.

    Could it be the new tile and grout smelling?

    What could it be???

    For me it is rotting hair in the drains....... I mean, your own fresh pee may smell great to you.... But rotting hair? Oh, My! Whew!

    Everything is brand new in this bathroom - it has only been used a handful of times so if we are sheding that much hair then we have other issues....

    You might try plugging off the shower and/or tub drains tightly for a bit and see if it dissipates. If it does, then I suspect that you have a drain problem such as no trap or leaking trap which is letting sewer gases into the house. What kind of floor covering?
    I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!

    flooring is tile...will try plugging everything up...
