We have a compressed fiber board garage door panel. Last winter in was hit with a corner of the snowplow which made a large tear and hole int it. The fiber board is still there , can it be fixed and if so how? any help would be greatly appricated.
    Thank You

You should be able to replace the pannel from inside, if not you could buy a whole new section and just replace the damaged section.

would you buy more compressed fiber board and fill in the hole?
If so how would you get it to stay ? I'll be doing this myself and for now , It would be much cheaper to fix the hole and than repaint the door. I painted them last year and didn't use a latex primer or acrylic latex pain. I read that that would stay on compress fiber board.
    Thank you for your help.

I'm not sure how big the whole is, sounds like you are wanting to fill the whole in with some type of patch? If its small enough you could do that, a picture would sure help.
