    I'm going to look into both of those things tomorrow. Great to have some new ideas.

    I'm getting pretty desperate. Wish I could afford a plumber - which I am well aware is the logical thing at this point. But, I'm one of the many many folks impacted by the economy at the moment... So - thanks, it really helps to be able to get ideas for things I can try. And, yes, soldering is the place where I don't have any ability to do it myself

    Its not the cartridges,diverter, washers or faucet seats. So, the leak has to be coming from a stripped valve, right? Are they typically soldered on, or could I replace it myself?
