I have a small barn foundation that the previous owner used as
a patio, covering the "floor" first with tar paper then concrete
patio stones. It's 20' X 24'. I removed the stones, tarpaper and floorboards and replaced this with 5/8" plywood decking and rubber rolled roofing. I also added several drains. Problem is the walls of the foundation extend about 8" above the "floor" on 3 sides.
I've had some leaks at this point even though I extended the rubber up the sides. I want to repair the plywood spots, install a new layer of rubber and then put a wood deck over top. Is there a way to "suspend" the deck off the foundation walls? There is a 12" x 18" main beam running across the 20' length. (Underneath).
Thanks
