    Default Pex & Stinkbugs

I've been reading ****** that "stinkbugs" (conifer bugs) can cause leaks in pex tubing by chewing on it. There seems to be evidence that they do but so far I have not found any discussion on how to eliminate the problem other than "how to trap" suggestions (not guaranteed) or "use copper" (not economical).

Is there any other info on this issue?

I won't be surprised if such bugs exist. Heck, I've heard about copper chewing termites...imagine that, termites eating metal.

I heard that mice can eat through pex from one general contractor.

Those bugs exist but I've never heard of any of these issues. If you crush one of those bugs you'll understand where the name comes from for days afterward!

But then again, I've had copper develop pinholes and leak too. It usually takes quite a few years.
