    Default replacing hinges

We are trying to replace the hardware on our kitchen cabinets which are about 30 years old. The hinges are 3/8 offset hinges and the new ones of the same size don't fit. Anyone have any experience with this?

What do you mean they don't fit?

There are more than one type used in 60s-80s. I bet you got the wrong one. I remember years ago I had a hell of a time getting one hinge.

Take a hinge down from a cabinet door, take it to the store to match. If you still don't have your hinge, try the stores on line.

Thanks for input . We had gotten liberty hinges and they didn't fit the same holes. In fact they come out about 1/2 inch further . We got the exact same hinge in amerock and they fit perfectly. I didn't realize the brand would make so much difference.
