Default What is the goto screw for fastening treated lumber deck boards?

Building a new deck from treated lumber.

Deck boards will be fastened with screws (exposed heads - not hidden).

Have always used DeckMate for other miscellaneous projects. Is there a goto screw for deck boards?

DeckMate screws are made for this type of job.

I use them for other exterior projects as well.

We buy Deckmate screws in all sizes by the bucket full. They are very useful

Never had a problem with Deckmate screws, but I recently discovered some serious corrosion with Primerguard screws even though the box said suitable for ACQ while replacing some deckboards which I laid 6 years ago. My Tarot card reader says I'm in for a change of brands in the immediate future!

I put down 16 ft SYP PT decking & used 3-1/2 in SS torx drive screws, about 1,500 of them.
