Default Epoxy coating on exterior concrete

I am about to apply BEHR 2 part Epoxy Garage Floor Coating. I have a section of concrete about 18 inches wide on the outside of my garage door. We have harsh winters with snow. Is it OK to apply epoxy to exterior portion of concrete? I called BEHR and their answer was interior only. I am wondering if they gave me the safest answer or if its really interior only. Would like to hear from anyone who has applied 2 part epoxy to concrete outside and you have cold winters with snow.

    Thank You

Read the label twice. If it specifies "interior only" then use it inside only.

UV light kills epoxy floor coatings. The freeze/thaw and moisture that will get under it doesn't help either.

Water will get under the epoxy and peel it right off. Unevenly of course.
