    I really didn't have choice on whether or not to restore or replace. Like I mentioned the price was extremely high. For most people it wouldn't have been a great feature. I want to keep original items but a lot of people don't care or want new.

    I got some news today from the window company. They cancelled my contract since they could not do the windows for the price quoted. In order to do they job they said they need to increase the price by $2k. This was on top of a price increase of $1,500 from the initial quote. I said no way.

    I decided I am going to pay the 4k more for Pella Proline.

    My timeline and budget are all messed up but what can you do. Maybe it was a blessing this company didn't do my windows.

    I think Pella is better than Jeld-wen.
