    Unhappy replacing water supply lines

I have an old house. I needed to change the faucet in the bathroom sink. No problem with that, done and in.
BUT while trying to reconnect the hot and cold water lines to the faucet, the water lines broke. How do I replace them? You need to know that I have shut off the water under the sink.(not the main water supply).

the broken water (hot & cold)lines & the shut off valve(under sink) are one piece. Will I have to turn off the main water supply to the house?

You need to replace the angle stops, those shut off valve on the hot and cold nipples that come out the wall. Turn the main off first.

After you properly install the new angle stops, turn them off and turn the main on, to check for leaks. Then you will need a couple of flex connectors to go from the angle stops to the faucet.
