Default vapor barrier -- extra wide

My house has wall bays sometimes wider than 2 feet. I had foil-faced paper in a roll 36 or 40 inches wide, but I've now used it up and can't find a manufacturer or distributor. Any help out there finding same?

Although I haven't looked for it lately, I did see wider foil-faced (or straight foil?) at the HD just last winter. I live right down the road from you in North Yarmouth and saw it at the HD in South Portland by Clark's Pond.

Now that I think of it, it may have been the reflective foil used in attics. Is this what you're looking for? If not, can I ask why are you using foil faced for a vapor barrier? Couldn't you simply use Visqueen (sp?) plastic sheeting?

I've got a thing against plastic when I can avoid it (which isn't often). As I mentioned I had the foil-faced paper designed for the job. An acquaintance suggested, as you did, that I might use plastic sheeting. I appreciate your help even if I continue to stubbornly resist. Thanks, Russ DuPree
