    Default Materials for garden arbor

What are the most cost effective materials to use to build the garden arbor? I will be painting it, using it indoors for a wedding, and then putting it outside. Also I could not link to the shopping list for the garden arbor on this website.

I assume that you want a wood garden arbor/pergola. Go with rot resistant woods like: cedar, redwood or the more expensive mohogany and IPE.

PT lumber is great, except in appearance. I like to use it outdoor when it's hidden from view or touch. Therefore for a pergola I would use better looking and safer to touch lumber.
