Default Replacing a Claw-foot tub with accessible shower stall

We'd like to replace in one bathroom the clawfoot tub for a shower stall, ideally not acrylic, perhaps porcelain on steel with tile? We would like to do this without ruining the wood walls (post and beam house), and need to do so on a budget. Any recommendations for how to do so, and good product options? There is already a shower head in the wall. Thank you.

You'll fare better by starting a new thread on the John Bridge Tile Forum where you can post pictures of your bath.

Please take a moment to try to sell or give away your tub to somebody that will use it in their home. Those tubs can be in demand and for it to go the the scrapyard would be a loss.
It's this old house, not this built after your dad was born house.
