Default smell from furance exhaust vent

While high efficiency furance is running a natural gas smell is emitted with the exhaust. At times I can see gas vapors also, is this normal? If not what could be causing it?

that's perfectly normal. it's called combustion exhaust. that's the reason that these vents are not allowed within a certain distance of a window. you're smelling the exhaust of burnt gas which is full of carbon monoxide.

Actually it is mostly water vapour and carbon dioxide with a very little carbon monoxide and a very small part sulfer dioxide.
