Default Advice on installing hookup for gas range

We want to replace out electric range with a propane gas one. There is a propane line about 16 feet away that services a propane heating stove. This requires extending the existing gas line to the range location (about 16' laterally), and installing a connector in the kitchen. What trade to we need to call for this?

Also, are the hookups universal or does it depend on the brand of range installed?

    Call a plumber.

    The fittings are universal.

DO NOT DO THIS WORK YOURSELVE. Unless you are a licensed plumber with a gas license. If something goes sideways your house insurance will ask who did the gas work. Try to explain you did.

Your propane supplier will be a good source for recommendations of who to use for this. There may be other unseen considerations involved here such as supply line size, regulator size and capacity, even storage tank capacity so hire a pro to do any LP or propane work as errors can be fatal!
