    Default Dishwasher Clanging Sound

    Hello,
Imagine you have the door open to load the machine and you are rinsing the dishes first. Everytime I turn off the faucet, there is a simultaneous clanging sound in the door or bottom of the machine. I don't hear it when the door is shut on the dishwasher and I'm just working at the the faucet. I imagine it has something to do with the hose running to the machine. What do you think? Is it something normal that I can ignore or is it time to call a plumber?
    Thank you,
    D

Can't be diagnosed with the limited information you provided.

    - Was it doing this clank from day 1, or just recently?
    - How old is the DW?
    - Is the plumbing, supply and discharge, hooked correctly?

The DW is a Bosch and it is bout 6 years old. It was moved in a kitchen remodel 14 months ago and has been working fine. I just noticed the sound a few days ago. I assume the hoses are connected correctly because there haven't been any problems that I'm aware of. Just this new sound.
    Thanks for your help.

Based on your new info, it could be a water hammer. An arrestor may solve the noise. Call a plumber.
