Any experience with eagle rigid span buildings as a house?
Considering buying an eagle Rigid span building http://www.eaglerigidspan.com and building a house in half of it and using the other half as a shop. I am looking at a 40 x80 and would make the house 40 x 40 for 1600 sq feet with a basement under the house portion. Any wisdom from anyone who has already done this? I have also looked at steel buildings and talked to quite a few home owners and they all tell me that a steel building with steel roof and steel walls make for poor cell phone reception. Some even used steel studs in construction and said if they were to do it over again they would use wood. Wondering about cost as compared to a conventional stick built house. The eagle buildings seem to be pretty energy efficient and the construction seems pretty simple. Any help/wisdom would be appreciated...Thanks

Best to contact your local Building Codes department regarding this. There is a lot of difference in the requirements for non-habitable spaces and habitable homes and local codes vary too much for anyone here to assist you in that.
