Well, I'm going to need a new roof next year and I was wondering about insulation under shingles. I have some 1/16 foam insulation that I bought for another project-it was supposed to be used under laminate floors and I'm wondering if it would help or be applicable for eliminating heat transfer from roof to interior. Any ideas?
Re: Roof Insulation
1/16" foam may not be as effective as you might expect. Also, your attic needs to be ventilated, offsetting the benefits of foam.
Resorting to the conventional insulation methods will work better IMO.
