    Default Opinions on my floors

    Hello,
I just bought a 100 year old house with old carpet and linoleum floors. Here are some photos of the wood floors underneath http://imgur.com/a/5vG22 (for some reason the forum wouldn't let me upload the pictures). In your opinion do they look in good enough conidtion to restore? Any idea what kind of wood they are?

    Thanks for the help!

Yes they are well worth restoring and it looks like southern yellow pine to me.

I agree with jack, judging by the middle picture, they look thick enough to survive a good sanding job. You can rent a sander or get a contractor to do it. It's a dirty job.

Thanks for the input guys! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the glue from the linoleum didn't bond too well!
