    Default Cracked Shower base

    Hi,
My girlfriend has a shower that has some sort of concrete/stone aggregate base. The base has some small cracks forming and is leaking. Are there any products out there to strengthen and seal the base? We don't really want to rip the whole thing out and replace with new I was hoping there would be some sort of rubberized epoxy or polymer coating that could be used. All advice is greatly appreciated!!!

    Thanks!

unfortunately once the base of a shower cracks, that's basically the beginning of the end of that tile floor. there are products out there that can seal it up but the damage is already being done. there's water below the shower base now which, depending on what's under the concrete, will be ruining the wood below, causing mold and deteriorating the concrete below the tile or stone.

He's right, there is no way to bandaid this job.

You can stop using the shower, add a clothes rod and turn it into a closet.

I agree with the above answers. I also like the closet idea.
