    Default Tiny House AC

We are in the process of rennovating a small house, 540sq ft. We will use radiant heat but I am looking for an ac unit that is small enough. I don't want a window unit or a portable and the house is too small to have the mini-split unit hanging on a wall. I need roughly half a ton and would like either a high velocity miniduct or a small central air. Any suggestions?

mitsubishi makes a mini split that has ceiling registers so you don't have to have a unit mounted on the wall.

Unless you live in Canada or are super insulated, you will need more than half a ton. You will probably need at least a ton (12,000 BTU) but the smallest central air units that I have heard of are 2 ton. Good luck.

Because of the size of the house, re-consider window air conditioners.

There are small BTU mini-split systems available, as well as small through the wall a/c units.
