Internal walls were built on floating floor; ouch!
Floor has now has been ripped up (including all batons) due to leak damage but walls are floating at least 5cm above the concrete.
Can I pack under the walls and then put in separate engineered wooden floor in each room? The concrete is a bit uneven in places, can it get sanded down? Don't really want to get another floating floor as footsteps disturbed the neighbors downstairs, any advice very welcome, thank you!

You need a substrate under the new flooring such as 'Advantec' or equivalent. The finish flooring of your choice goes on top of this. The substrate can be continuous throughout.
