    Post Deck restore products

My deck is needing to be re-stained. I have seen deck restore products from Rust-Oleum and Behr advertised in TOH magazine and researched some videos on YouTube. I was wondering if anyone out there has used this type of product. My deck gets direct sunlight for at least 8 hours a day and I live in the costal area of North Carolina. I have small children and a dog. Any feedback would be appreciated.

We used the restore on our deck and we followed all instructions. Within a couple of weeks it started peeling. I
Am going to try to get my money back.

From my experience, when folks try to make their old deck look "like new", it's usually too late because their deck is on life support.

Do you really expect to have a "like new" deck with $100 worth of restore paint?

To have an old deck look really good, it should be maintained on a regular basis. If your deck did not receive regular maintenance, only replacing it will give you a "new deck".
