Air Sealing - How Tight?
I've only been on here for a few months, but I've already come across some interesting air sealing questions. So for builders out there, I've been wondering – how tight are you sealing houses? Do you surpass code requirements? I’m also curious to find out how many air changes per hour you typically aim to reach?
Re: Air Sealing - How Tight?
Its been my understanding you want 4 hour changes (by volume) per hour. But I could be way off base.
I can tell you from first hand experience you can over seal your home, causing negative air pressure inside your home on the days the heat is running which can have very bad effect on the home.
