Hey Everyone,

Hope you're all doing great!

Recently my wife and I have noticed a crack or split occurring in the hardwood floor of our kitchen. We just purchased the house this past november and noticed that it was about an inch, but it has now extended to past a foot (14 inches). We have tried to apply a rust-oleum product (polyurethane) but that is definitely not the solution.

Based on our reesearch it has has been suggested to use a glue. What I would like to know is what you would do or suggest in order to correct the issue (from best possible solution to quick fix)? It seems the cracking has slowed down and stopped, since it expanded quickly at the beginning of summer.

Any help with this would be great. I have attached images below.
