    How true.

    I think that there are hazards galore to the inexperienced and for those who neglect to plan for those "what if" situations, but just look at ladder accidents. Probably more DIYers get injured falling off ladders than any other type of accident.

    Then all the money they saved...

    Yes, I cannot count the number of times I've heard of incidences where homeowners have tried to DIY or hire a handyman to save a buck or cut some corners only resulted in more money, more time, more effort than originally expected if they simply would have hired a professional. Especially in specialty trades such as plumbing or HVAC. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for DIY if the situation calls for it, but there are instances where doing it yourself is simply just not the smart option.
