    Default Steps for Walkway

    Hi,

I was evaluating installation of a new walkway for my front entrance. My front yard has varying grades and I was curious was the factors for determining whether or not to include steps in a walkway. Are there specific grade criteria that determine the need for walkway steps?

    I appreciate the help,

    Greg

Depends on the use and the severity of the grade. If it's something that can be easily walked, then a simple pathway is sufficient and more desirable for disabled users.

If the grade is not comfortable to walk, then steps would be in order. When planning steps, make sure you make them a comfortable height and depth for the slope.
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
