    Smile 3rd Vanity Handle

Just wondering if anyone has any input. I have noticed in many homes that were built before 1930 that there is a valve mounted on the wall above the bathroom sink and the mirror. Have not been able to find any information on the net. Does anyone have an answer?

If it is what I suspect, it is an early form of the modern mixing valve. In days of old, you had two separate taps, one for hot, one for cold, the three valve system allows you to set the water temp, then control the flow with the third, meaning set your temp and leave the valves alone, then just use the centrally located valve when you use the faucet. It worked, but not too conveniently.
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
